In my final year of my Master’s in Information Science program, I have the privilege and opportunity to serve on a project in collaboration with Michigan Medicine leaders and practitioners. My work as a Digital Product Consultant and Developer currently involves collaboratively leading an interdisciplinary team of developers, researchers, and designers to develop a digital health tool that enhances diagnostic accuracy and improves health outcomes through patient-centered storytelling. I am also working with stakeholders to extract and synthesize valuable insights, identify key goals and pain points, and develop detailed user personas to guide final feature development.
This opportunity is also allowing me to enhance my knowledge and application of agile principles and Scrum values within the agile development process by coordinating sprint planning, optimizing backlog refinement, and facilitating daily stand-ups to ensure efficient delivery of high-impact features.
